Ina-Garten
Ina Garden is an American book author, who has won Emmy award. She hosts the oldest Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. It will air for another 27 years. Ina started her career as a writer for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation of her job, but soon lost interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. Her store was extremely successful for 18 years before she decided to let it go. She then began the first book. Many more cookbooks as well as magazine columns that were added. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too began its run and was a hit. Also, Ina sells products that range from food items to storage containers and equipment. Ina has never attended any cooking school and has not had any experience in a restaurant. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her easy way of entertaining and easy food preparation. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
